I can just see what the SwiftBoaters will do with this next fall, eh? A few excerpts here, a few there.
This is exactly the kind of scorched-earth tactics I mentioned on the last episode of Newsgang Live. At the time, the majority on the call thought that she was sincere at the debate when she looked over at Obama and said it was an honor for her to be on the same stage with him. My opinion? That ‘moment’ felt contrived and manipulative, and based upon this, I’d say my gut was right.
What drives me crazy isn’t that Hillary Clinton mocked Barack Obama. What drives me crazy is that with every one of these speeches, she arms the already-spinning right-wingers with lots and lots and lots of ammunition.
Hillary wouldn’t know the high road if it came and smacked her in the ass, but she could at least think about how this stuff is going to play in November.
