Cheney: Lookin’ for Love in all the Wrong Places
Last week Cheney made headlines when asked about recent polls that show about two-thirds of Americans say the fight in Iraq is not worth it. “So?” Cheney replied during that interview. “You don’t care what the American people think?” Raddatz asked the vice president at the time. “You can’t be blown off course by polls,” Cheney said during that interview. Today, Cheney defended that answer. “Look, there are a lot of people out there, Martha, that don’t agree with me about a lot of things, but if I wanted to be loved, I’d ought to be a TV correspondent, not a politician,” he said.
Now THAT would be very, very old politics. Just say no, networks. Besides, he’ll be busy managing his war profits from the Halliburton headquarters in Bahrain, I’m sure.
