Hi there,

I was googling this business because I received an offer from them as well for my mortgage. I do admit it's confusing to whether or not it's a government program...but in taking a closer look there is a disclaimer at the bottom that says it's not- "This program is not being offered by an agency of the government and American Premier Funding is a public corporation." I got my letter a little later than yours, so maybe they received a lot of complaints and had their legal department tack on the disclaimer.

Also, what makes me pretty upset is that the disclaimer also says they pulled my credit score to evaluate what offer to give me when I obviously never gave them the permission to do so.

And McCain says the government shouldn't help because it's a matter between lenders and borrowers. Like he said -- he doesn't know a lot about the economy.
