Why doesn't anyone want to put things in historcial perspective?

1. 1948 - the Zionists displace over 700,000 Palestinians.

2.1967 - Israel delivers a resounding defeat to the Arabs and Nasser is humiliated - inclusive of Syria.

3. 1979 - circumstances orchestrated by the US in 1953 come to a head in the Middle East - but this comment has to go back to how the whole political problem actually evolved.

4. 1953 - CIA -plants Shah in power and destroys Iranian democracy.

5. 1979 - a coalition of opposition to US manipulation and control of Iran overthrows the American puppet - the Shah.

6. Interpose in the above historical facts - the US support of Saddam in the Iraq/Iran war stimulated by the US, which cost in excess of one million lives.

7. Now - " Fox News" plays as a domestic propaganda sub-text in the broader historical context of the problems. Of course " Fox News" must play its propaganda role - and what else can Obama do ( in this less than perfect electoral process where Obama seeks to be President in the country that gives true meaning to the expression ' the best democracy that money can buy'.)

8. Given the reality of American power politics - the name of the game is "War" and as long as Bush and McCain and others of similar ilk can effectively play the "fear factor" the same shit will continue to play out - as poor people send their sons and daughters into war - follwed by war - and more - war!!!!!!!!!!!John McCain is indeed a "hawk", but he is a "hawk" in a system that is funadmentally and inherently "hawkish".
