Amen, George. I’d like to spend my time making society better, not tearing it down, which I also believe is the only moral imperative Christians have. Feed the poor, take care of the sick and the needy and do what I can to change things for the better.

Something about how all that is required for evil to triumph is for the good to remain silent. Unsilent, and if I read you correctly, your use of speech embraced the spirit of nonviolent civil disobedience, whose goal IMHO is through love to save the soul of the violent sinner and of the fallen society.
Therein I think we find the true key to the locked door.

Excellent post. You said this so eloquently and isn’t it heartwarming and inspiring when we can disagree with someone, especially a pastor, and they will listen openly, with an open mind, to what we have to say?
