Dick Cheney: Our Hero

March 10, 2008 · Posted in Foreign Policy

Gas prices are going out of control. I paid $3.57/gallon for regular gas. Rather than accept the price increase, I instead put $20 worth of gas in the car and that’s it till the next time I’m paid. Whatever that $20 buys is as far as I drive. Fortunately for me, I can walk to work, don’t have a ton of kid driving to do anymore, and have nearby grocery stores, so what it means for me is not doing any optional things. Not such a bad thing.

Forgive my skepticism, but when I read that gas prices are going higher and oil is setting a new record at $108 per barrel, largely because OPEC refuses to release more oil into the supply, my mind starts thinking about the Bush oil interests and the words “money grab”, alongside the word “profiteering”.

So who is going to rescue us from this muddle? Dick Cheney, of course. Don’t you feel better now?

Well, oh yeah - I just feel daffy, all warm and fuzzy that Cheney is gonna rescue us - yeah right.

I cut down my driving to out of state and longer trips along time ago - I have 56,000 miles on a 2004 Toyota and 5,001 one miles on the motorcycle I can no longer ride emmm .... now if I could get that down I would but public transportation sucks around here - scary at times really.

Since Cheney is gonna help me out ha ha I guess I will have to cut down further - Yikes!!!!
